When Mommy and Papi's amor shifts, even strong bricks can't keep una casa from becoming two, or keep four hearts from splitting in half. In the picture book UNA FAMILIA, TWO HOUSES, siblings Ana and Benny face the hardships of a new family dynamic. But through their journey, they discover that with change can come new traditions, hope, and even happiness.

For over two decades, Jenny Morales has taught multilingual learners in Illinois and Ecuador. An active member of the kidlit community, Jenny credits Mary Cummings, PBParty, 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge, and her supportive critique partners for helping her hone her craft. In addition to being a PBParty finalist in 2023 and 2022, Jenny was selected as the runner-up in the 2021 PBChat mentorship program by award-winning author Anika Aldamuy Denise. Jenny is thrilled to release her first picture book, UNA FAMILIA, TWO HOUSES - a story she hopes will bring comfort to children and parents experiencing divorce. When she's not reading, writing, or exploring the outdoors with her two children, she can be found sharing 10-word reviews of English and Spanish picture books on Instagram (@landoflbros).
